On July 9, Michael Fagan climbed over the wall of Buckingham Palace, evaded security long enough to help himself to half a bottle of Australian white wine and then popped into the Queen's bedroom for a chat.
She only managed to alert security when Fagan asked her for a cigarette and she rang for a footman.
