Who
they? Just two guys from Denmark, basically, who got together four
years with a mandate to overthrow the “rubbish” music
Scandinavian music scene. They’ve clearly succeeded with the
irresistibly upbeat “Move Your Feet” which transported
the crowd at Born Sloppy into a disco wonderland for three minutes
and thirteen seconds.

We tied Jeppe and Jesper to some plastic chairs and extracted this
confession:
What have you been listening to this week? JESPER:
Old hiphop stuff, Eric B and Rakeem, and the new Missy Eliot which
is great. And Bob Dylan actually. What was the first record
you ever bought? JEPPE: Bad by Michael Jackson. JESPER: “Got
My Mind Set On You” George Harrison. Have you been to
any embarrassing gigs? JESPER: Mostly Danish bands. What’s
an embarrassing Danish band to see? There are loads. When
I was young I went to see Lisa Sorenson. That’s really embarrassing.
She’s like 80’s middle of the road rock. Like
Bonie Tyler? Even more cheesy than that. There’s a
Danish side to her that’s just so horrible. So what’s
the music scene like in Denmark? It’s not very innovative.
Very copycat. A few years after it’s big over here in the UK,
it’s copied in Denmark. We even have our own Coldplay. They’re
called Sabier. Much like Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Travis. They are
nice people though. All we know about Euro music is through
the Eurovision song contest? Is that big in Denmark? Oh yeah.
We won two years ago. “Fly on the wings of love…”

Senior, won the Eurovision? No no no. Not us. Denmark. We
did actually think about entering as a joke. Alright, there
must be one good Danish band? Yeah, try Mew.
The single “Move Your Feet” is out in February, followed
by the album “D-D-Don’t Stop The Beat” in March.
