Former table dancer Alison is now friend to the stars

Big Brother's favourite Brummie came face to face with the Hollywood hunk at the premiere of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind last week. But instead of asking for a kiss on the cheek – Alison hit him with her microphone!

Alison was sent to London's Leicester square to hob knob with the stars as part of her presenting job on This Morning, and says it was much scarier than anything else she's done (including breaking the table in the Big Brother garden).

Speaking exclusively to the BB website she said, "I've been so lucky with my work so far - I've been sent to some wicked places like Dubai to report on health spas, and I've been doing Diet Cam and Clutter busters. But looking in people's cupboards or relaxing in a jacuzzi is not quite the same as going to a star-studded premiere!"

And although Alison admits, "I couldn't sleep the night before", she is adamant that she wasn't at all nervous (or weak at the knees) when she met Mr Clooney. "George was great", she says, "We really sparred together and he kept making faces at me and laughing when the cameras weren't rolling. But I didn't fancy him - honest! If I did I wouldn’t have bashed him on the head with my microphone. I was much more star struck when I met Tom Jones!"

Alison swoons, "When Tom came over to me he started looking in my eyes and I thought - oh my god! It's him! I nearly didn't know what to say!"

But Alison wasn’t the only one to come face to face with her idol; some celebrities were actually star-struck when they met Alison!, “I saw Amanda Holden walking up the red carpet”, she told us, “But before I could shout her name, she came straight over and went ‘Hi Alison how are you?!’ – I was gob-smacked”.

Romantic rendezvous with Messieurs Clooney and Jones are just the tip of the iceberg for Miss Hammond. In a couple of weeks she’s set to be the envy of even more knicker-throwing ladies, because she's off to meet a greater golden oldie - Donnie Osmond. Alison will be visiting Donnie’s dressing room when he performs in Glasgow on 4th March.

But be warned Mr Osmond: there’d better not be any skeletons in your closet because she’s planning to have a good long rummage in your wardrobe…
