WHEN the nation watched Alex and Kate frequently enjoying happy hours under the bed sheets playing Follow The Van, many thought the pair were on course to become a permanent partnership once their stint in the House came to an end. It's not worked out that way - maybe because they're too busy chasing other celebs!
Kate has been spotted swapping mobile phone numbers with Pop Idol winner Gareth Gates. Meanwhile, Alex has been striking a pose and swapping snogs with fellow model and posh 'it' girl, Lady Victoria Hervey.
The pair met during filming last week for top motor show Driven. Alex was presenting a special report for the series, which will also feature an interview with the 25-year-old aristocrat.
The statuesque couple couldn't keep their eyes off each other and wasted no time in arranging to meet for a romantic dinner that weekend. Friends say they've been an item ever since.
What's more they reckon Lady V, who's previously dated a raft of celebs including Formula One driver David Coulthard and rap icon P Diddy, is totally smitten with cleaning demon Alex.
"When they met for the first time, they ended up locked in each other's arms, kissing on the sofa. It's definitely love," confirmed a close friend of Victoria.
The blonde bombshell is playing it coy. "Alex and I do know each other. At the moment we're just good friends," she told the Daily Express.

The two lovebirds have been on a series of secret dates and were also photographed snuggling up to each other at the swanky launch party for interior designer Kelly Hoppen's new King's Road store.
Judging by the look on Alex's face, the model boy is as happy spending time with Vic as he is scrubbing the crusty Big Brother oven. Let's hope she shares his super clean habits and can learn to appreciate long Follow The Van sessions, or this is one romance that won't last.
Alex isn't the only ex-housemate looking for a celebrity partner. If tabloid reports are to be believed, Big Brother champion Kate is rumoured to be chasing pop idol cutie Gareth Gates.
According to The Sun, the pint-sized pair were seen locked in an intimate conversation at the aftershow party for the Elle Style Awards. They snuck into a quiet corner for a flirty 45-minute chat, which culminated with the potential pairing exchanging phone numbers.
Onlookers reported that the two stars met after all the prizes had been handed out. Kate spotted gorgeous Gareth and couldn't resist crossing the room to say hello.
Just before he had to leave, the winsome twosome got out their mobile phones and keyed in each other's number.
A guest at the awards, held at the Natural History Museum, said: "Kate made a beeline for Gareth. I don't know if she was a fan of Pop Idol or if he watched Big Brother, but they seemed to hit it off.
"They chatted for ages and were getting on like a house on fire."
Kate chose the awards to unveil a sophisticated new look. Her stunning outfit of a tiny denim mini and fitted white shirt was topped off by freshly-dyed bronze locks. The glam girl told gmtv why she'd decided to ditch the bleach and become a brunette. "I just fancied going back to something nearer my natural colour," she explained before adding "I'm not quite used to it yet."
