Big Bang Theory
Middle Earth

Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj are not in the best of moods after being annihilated by Kyle Bernstein's Bar Mitzvah paintball party. Still, Penny's invited them to a party, so surely that'll brighten up their spirits? Maybe the promise of a "boy-girl party" has lured Howard in, but it's not until Penny mentions the shebang being a Halloween party ("as in costumes") that the rest of the gang become interested. It's at this point when Howard says with some gusto, "Gentlemen, to the sewing machines!"

The guys reconvene in pristine threads; the only problem is they've all come as the same person - The Flash. Leonard puts dabs on going as Frodo, Raj goes as Thor, Howard dresses up as Robin Hood (not Peter Pan) and Sheldon represents the Doppler Effect, which, as we all know, is the apparent change in the frequency of a wave caused by relative motion between the source of the wave and the observer, obviously.

In true geeky manner, the CalTech foursome become the wallflowers of the shindig, that is until Howard approaches a "sexy nurse" with some tricks he learnt from a programme on VH1. Things get as equally interesting for Leonard and Sheldon when Penny's ex-boyfriend Kurt appears. Following an embarrassing encounter with said meathead, Leonard leaves Penny's apartment with his tail between his legs.

Leonard's tail between his legs may well have been pepped up somewhat though when Penny drunkenly apologises to Leonard with a kiss. Romance is obviously in the air, as Raj the "gentle", "passionate" and "good listener" winds up in bed with a lovely lass from the party.
