The Fuzzy Boots Corollary
Sometimes a simple computer game featuring you, your mates, and a multitude of goblins can speak volumes about your life. For instance, some people may think you're a bit of a nerd and of course that's exactly what Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj are. So it's not surprising to find our quantum geeks slaying all that lie in front of them in a virtual world. But for Leonard the virtual world is put aside when Penny's around.
Leonard's heart's broken when he catches Penny kissing the "dreamy" Doug. To take his mind off matters he sets out to date another girl, Leslie Winkle from the lab. They may both be science genii, but there's certainly no chemistry between them.
Howard "the self-taught sexual harassment law expert" happens to know a place where plenty of eligible women would be available for Leonard to have his pick - a dance club for the elderly. Unsurprisingly, this plan fails, so filled with doom and gloom Leonard starts listen to emo songs, until Sheldon unwittingly gives him an idea. Ask out Penny.
Under the illusion that the other guys will be there, Penny agrees to go for dinner with Leonard. However, the night ends with a surprising bang, unfortunately for Leonard this is not down to a bit of overdue hanky-panky, but because he cracks his head open while showing off with a centripetal experiment. Ah well!
