The lovable social Scot made further BB history by being the only housemate to swap temporarily into another version of Big Brother, when he was flown to South Africa and SA housemate Gaetano took his place. Cameron won with a winning margin of over 500,000 votes.
"I'm doing lots of writing for different newspapers, and writing and broadcasting for the BBC. I also do corporate work - after dinner speaking and that kind of thing, which is great fun. Nobody is as surprised as me that I'm still getting booked to do things, five years after Big Brother.
I have a job with the National Trust for Scotland, working as the entertainment manager for Cruises. You never know what will crop up after Big Brother. Of course you get invited to the openings of envelopes, but I was invited to Zambia to launch a project with the President of Zambia! So a lot of decent stuff does come out of it. The big mistake people make is to agree to everything. I've been quite choosy."
