There was more male bonding tonight, as Jay made a sad announcement to Stuart. He is nipping his blooming relations with Vanessa in the bud.
Down-in-the-mouth Jay has decided he can't handle the bear hugs and kisses anymore, and wants to keep their relationship strictly fun and flirty.
"I was getting a bit of closeness," he explained to his hippy pal, a lad well-versed in the difficulties of love under the spotlights.
"If you start getting close, you goinee wanna start snoggin and stuff - you cannee do that in here.
"She knew from today", murmured Jay sadly, "'cos I was being a wee bit distant. I said to her 'we need to stop it...' she's cool with it."
"It's almost like breaking up," observed Stu sympathetically.
"It'll be hard - 'cos we're used to having a cuddle every day," admitted the Scot.
But Vanessa -- or simply V as she is being termed more and more -- has given him a glimmer of hope for when they get out.

Jay then probed Stu as to how far things had gone with the departed object of HIS desire. "Just a few cheeky kisses here and there," confessed Stu.
He explained Michelle had never been bothered by the lack of privacy, as if that wasn't abundantly clear to all the housemates on many an occasion!
"Being intimate with a girl," he stammered, "It's hard in here, man, knowing people [on the outside] are just loving it."
To cope with the loss of his nearly-girlfriend, the muscleman then announced his decision to get back in to a routine. "I will get up in the morning, exercise with no one around, then have a nice, leisurely breakfast, then a nice bath."
"Just get stuck into the press-ups," he laughed, "become void of all emotion -- like a man who doesn't feel! he jested."
"A machine!" Stuart joined in.
