Dan had a face of thunder for much of the housemates' tea party, and now we know why - he doesn't like food fights.

Initially as excited as all the others were about the chocolate feast laid out for them by Big Brother, the Hull boy soon descended into silence and took to staring moodily into space as some of his more frivolous housemates threw cake at each other.

Once the bulk of the sweet spread had been transferred from table to lawn and rolled in by Emma, Nadia, Stuart and Marco, Dan could contain his anger no longer.

"Five minutes into it and nobody had a chance to eat anything...and now it's all over the lawn," he spat at the chocolate and cream-covered culprits.

"So selfish," he ranted on. "Childish," he added.

As the offenders squirmed in their soiled attire, other housemates came forward to express their distaste of the party proceedings.

Shell admitted that it wasn't her bag and Victor demanded that the mess be cleaned up immediately.

Vanessa, meanwhile, took herself off to the Diary Room to complain about the fact that her belongings were now covered in confectionary.

"I'm f*****g p****d off...really sick of living with selfish people," she grumbled.
