The boys gallantly offered to pedal through the night, leaving the girls to get their beauty sleep. And as they pedalled into dawn, conversation turned to why some of the girls seem shy of the pool.
Federico, one of the first in the water, and who has enjoyed a good splashing with Anouska, brought up the subject.
"It's strange how the girls don't want to put their costumes on and go for it," he puzzled. "They're not shy," added Scott.
"I don't know... they've said it not in so many words but it just looks like they've got a couple of inhibitions about going in," analysed the Italiano Glaswegian.
