FEATURE: Big Brother Awards
Day 64, 12:52
It's been an exciting nine weeks in the Big Brother House, and as things draw to their conclusion Chloe Hardwick dishes out a few timely awards...
Funniest Moment
There have been many, and it was a close call. Special mentions go to Ray's "you're not a minger" comment to Steph on Day 41.
In runner-up postition has to be Ray's now infamous reply in the Diary Room to the opinions task question.
"How many dates will it take to bed a girl?" asked BB. "Depends on how drunk I get her," was the cheeky Irish lad's answer.
But the winner has to be the fabulous Jon Tickle for his rendition of Hotel California to all 11 housemates on Day 6. It marked the time when the nation began to love the Brains from Staines for his eccentric ways.
Biggest Snog
Not big on tongue action this year, but there were a few steamy moments, and most seemed to occur on Day 48: leprechaun night.
Nush and Scott grab a special commendation for indulging in some tongue-jiggling during the mass snogathon, with many wondering if the couple's relationship would go further.
Lisa and Ray were another pair who turned up the temperature in the Irish bar that night. The Welsh lass straddled Ray and gave him 10 seconds of passion the Irish lad won't forget in a hurry.
But the much coveted winning position goes to Nush and Steph for their girl on girl action in the Irish pub. The two got a bit deep down and dirty with their French kiss, much to the enjoyment of the boys.
Silliest Accident
There were many a funny faux pas in the House this year, and it was difficult trying to shorten our laughter list. An honourable mention goes to Gos on Day 17 when he was accidentally whacked in the face by Ray. Classic.
On Day 56, Nush cracked a funny and receives the runner-up award for going hurtling across the living room floor on her quest for beer. It was an amusingly drunken moment from the bendy blonde.
But the funniest accident by far was when Ugandan Gae managed to abuse House property by running full pelt into a camera on Day 35. Shaken and stirred, the temporary inmate got straight back up - but then had to sit down for a fair few minutes.
Most Memorable Moment
They've pulled some tricks out the bag in the past, but this year the contestants really excelled themselves.
The others met new housemate Lisa with a truckload of attitude and animosity, and by Day 48 the Welsh lass was at the end of her tether and decided to confront the others. It was a superb moment of the others tasting their own medicine.
Another contender for the crown was the entirety of leprechaun night. Bitching, arguing, snogging and crying, it was like a whole series of Big Brother piled into one night.

Undisputed King of the Diary Room |

But the most memorable moment by far has to be Jon Tickle's arrival in the House for a second time. The housemates looked like they'd seen a ghost. The whole episode was a picture.
Best Quote
Where to start? There have been so many characters in this year's lot that finding the best quote was a tricky task indeed. But we managed to whittle it down and the third runner-up is Jon.
Emerging from the Diary Room on day 26 after an exchange with Big Brother, the Mr Tickle declared to the others, "I explained that I was a physicist and not of any small intellect."
Second place goes to Cameron and his prudish ways. Talking to Big Brother in the Diary Room, the Orkney fella was chatting about the reason he didn't drink alcohol.
"I don't like boasting about drink, it's not big and it's not clever," he told the all-seeing eye.
But the winning quote this year goes to It girl Tania. She was one of the most original characters in the House and there were a fair few quotes to chose from. But when she was explaining her background to the others on Day 29, she had us rolling in the aisles.
"I know people from the hood... my background means s**t all!"
Biggest Strop
Now although you may think Ray would be a strong contender for the strop crown, he didn't reign supreme in the end. But he did come a close second, and third.
One memorable temper tantrum was on Day 32 when he stomped into the garden during an argument over the shopping list, hell-bent on destroying the big Brother beanbags.
Another instance was his Day 56 rant at Steph: "You can go to f*****g hell for all I care... you f*****g bitch."
But there was one young lady whose rampant outburst was the first official tantrum in the Big Brother House.
Yes, step forward Sissy, your little outburst on Day 13 when the group lost the boy scouts task is the winner of Big Brother strop of the year.
Best Diary Room Session
Just what would you do to be a fly on the wall in the Diary Room? All the goings on in there over the past nine weeks have had us in stitches, especially when Ray refused to give his ball back on Day 26, and Federico's Avid Merrion impression on Day 28.
But the top spot must go to a man whose eccentricities in the House have made this year's Big Brother one of the most memorable. Jon was a favourite in the Diary Room at the best of times, but by far the best entry was when he wound up BB over the design faults of the House on Day 28.
"The kitchen is all wrong, the choice of tiling is horrendous, and that herd of elephants you keep in the camera run... If they've got a cold why come to work at all..." he complained, before finishing, "I am, of course, teasing you."
Biggest Shocker
This year's Big Brother has certainly been successful in surprising us all. Although we always prepare ourselves for the unimaginable, the producers never fail to shock us with their tricks.
One such moment was the first ever Reward Room on Day 10, when the surprise room was fashioned as a disco. And the runner-up prize goes to Lisa's arrival in the Big Brother House on Day 37, an event which definitely rocked the applecart.
But by far and away, the most shocking moment ever was when Cameron was smuggled out of the House and flown to South Africa. In return, our housemates were treated to a few days with the divine Gaetano.
It's been a stunning nine weeks - and we can't wait to see what happens tonight in the grande finale!
