Task
Ray breaks news of the task
Task Announced
Day 10, 17:04

It's back to the dib-dib-dib and dob-dob-dob of cub scouts for the housemates.

Big Brother has come up trumps with this week's task by transporting the housemates - well, the boys at least - back to their childhoods as cub scouts.

Big Brother asked a housemate to the Diary Room, where a laminate sheet awaited them. Ray obliged, and returned to the sitting area to read out the details of the task.

"This week Big Brother is offering you all the chance to become honorary members of the Cub Scouts," he read.

"In order to be successful in the task, you must pass the Cub Membership Test, the Cub Camper badge, and present yourselves on parade whenever called," it stated. "The Cub Membership Test involves learning about the Cubs, their history and customs. For the Cub Camper badge you must learn camping skills."

"For the parade you will each be presented with a uniform comprising of a jumper, scarf and woggle.

"At various points throughout the week, Big Brother will call you to parade. You will have two minutes to change into uniform and present yourselves on parade. All housemates must present themselves on parade within the time limit, or the task will be failed.

"On Wednesday all housemates will be tested on one element of the task. Everyone must pass in order to succeed in the task."

"I think we should just wear it all the time," Nush reckoned, putting forward an ingenious method of ensuring they would pass the parade test.

"Does anyone know what a woggle is?" Jon asked, before being told it kept the scarf in place round their necks.

As has become customary, the housemates get to gamble a percentage of their weekly food budget of £103.50 on the successful completion of the task. They had 30 minutes to decide how much to gamble - or else Big Brother would set it automatically at 75 per-cent.

"I want to get drunk at least once this week," Ray said, agreeing with the motion put forward t gamble 75% of the budget on the task.

However, prudence kicked in, and they settled on a figure of 65%, so the beefy Irishman retreated to the Diary Room to inform Big Brother.
