Love Or Money?

Scott, Cameron and Jon were putting the world to rights by figuring out which is more important: cash or cuddles.
On a previous day, the hot topic was a night in versus a night out. Having solved that particular conundrum, the three housemates took up the cudgels with a rapier-like thrust and parry that would have put Jeremy Paxman to shame.
Cameron was adamant that love would win over every time. After all, the Orkney boy reasoned, he had a house and a car. What he lacked in his life was a girlfriend.
After calling the bashful bachelor an old romantic, Jon decided to play Devil's Advocate: "If you've got money, you could do stuff with your mates, but if you were living in absolute poverty with the woman you loved, I don't think I'd be quite that happy."
Scott insisted that he wasn't motivated by money although he admitted to wanting a certain amount of dosh for his creature comforts.
Having thoroughly discussed all the angles on this debate, our intrepid threesome decided on another puzzle to mull over: Eyesight or hearing.
