This week
Jon - meditation and cold showers
The Week That Was
Day 64, 11:00

The excitement has been building all through Week 9 as the housemates psych themselves up for the end of their time in the Big Brother House.

Christmas came early on Day 63. Despite losing this week's opinions task, Big Brother came over all charitable and granted them festive celebrations. The final five experienced a Big Brother Yuletide, complete with turkey, sparkly decorations, dancing and mince pies.

Their dismal failure in the opinions task on Day 62 left the gang feeling very despondent. They weren't too optimistic beforehand, with Steph thinking they had "no chance of winning".

The housemates needed to answer 75% (11 or more of the 15 questions) correctly to be rewarded but they only got eight answers right.

There was a controversial debate on Day 61, as Jon would say. Cameron revealed he is no big fan of gay couples. "I'm definitely of the opinion that couples should be husband and wife, and not two husbands or two wives," he told Big Brother.

Meanwhile, Scott said he had "absolutely no problem" with gay couples adopting children.

Steph is the centre of attention
As Jon came to the end of a mammoth 75-minute Diary Room session on Day 60, he told Big Brother: "I'm feeling a certain degree of sexual frustration at the moment".

When the all-seeing one asked Jon how he would deal with it, the data man replied, "I shall meditate... plenty of cold showers, I guess."

There were some penetrating questions on Day 59, when the subject of nightmare medical experiences arose. "You ever had a finger up the a**e?" Jon asked Steph.

"Yes I have," she replied. "A couple of times." She then went into greater detail. "I had a tear up there," she admitted.

The Live Challenge took place on Day 58 with the housemates needing to find needles in a haystack. After completing the task, the eagle-eyed five earned themselves two nights in the Reward Room.

And on Day 57, there was much speculation on who would win Big Brother. Crafty Steph calculated that there was a one in five chance of her winning - even though she claimed not to be thinking about it.

Cameron declared he wouldn't be upset if there wasn't a cash prize. "If I came out of the House last and somebody said 'Oops! We've made a mistake, there's no money,' I wouldn't mind."
