IT'S been a long time coming but it's finally happened - someone's tidied up the 'poor' bedroom.
Adele and Alex frequently complained about the smell in the room and housemates had even started referring to it as the 'Grotto'.
Kate was the one who decided enough was enough and, while the boys chatted in the garden, she took it upon herself to clean the entire room.
Sweeping the floor, tidying away possessions and making up the beds, the room looked like a different place once Kate had finished.
Jonny was impressed and joked, "She's wallpapered and painted and everything."
PJ was also grateful, "Nice, thanks Kate."
Spencer on the other hand, wanted to take advantage of Kate's spring-cleaning mood and asked her to wash his feet. To his surprise, she agreed but he told her not to bother.
Kate let them know it hadn't been the most enjoyable of experiences, "I had to sweep the floor. Oh, you should have seen the s**t. By the time I'd got to the dartboard, there was just s**t everywhere. It was awful."
When the foursome went to bed, neither PJ nor Spencer commented on the sparkly makeover Kate had performed, as they began a game of darts. It left only Jonny to remark, "Look at the bedroom man, what our little love has done."
It turned out that Spencer had his own way of saying thanks. A couple of hours later, with everyone asleep in the room, the Cambridgeshire lad whispered, "Kate? Thanks for washing my trousers."
A clean room and clean trousers? Alex would be proud...
