Kate: Blonde Ambition

AFTER nine weeks in the Big Brother House, Kate has scooped the ultimate prize!
The 22-year-old IT worker from Kent brought fun, laughter and tears to the House and was certainly a hit with Spencer, but how did she fare during her time in the Big Brother goldfish bowl?
Kate topped the popularity poll when the housemates first entered. The blonde proved she was up for a laugh by heartily participating in an impromptu performance of the Jerry Springer Show with the others. Essex model Alex seemed particularly impressed. "She's got a nice little package," he told Sandy, Jonny and Jade on Day 05.
But Alex's feelings soon cooled and, by Day 14, he'd confronted Kate in the kitchen as she juggled oranges. A teary Kate hit back: "I want to know what the f**k I've done to upset you... You're always having a pop at me."
Kate had set her sights on Spencer anyway, labelling the Cambridgeshire lad "wicked" and "good-looking". Spencer said he didn't fancy the blonde on Day 8, but he and Kate were very much the House couple - he even asked Kate to marry him during a quiet moment by the pool on Day 14. Although the IT worker didn't take the offer seriously, she was clearly smitten, telling Lee on Day 18: "Do I fancy Spanky? I think he's really gorgeous."
She had Jonny, PJ and Spencer in a spin on Day 25, after revealing she dreamed about sleeping with all three men at the same time. Kate fell asleep while Spencer stroked her hair that night, but the lovebirds were soon to be parted when Spencer was evicted on Day 29. Kate was distraught: "I can't believe they voted Spencer out over Alex. Spencer is so f*****g wicked."
There was more upset for Kate when the strain of two weeks on the poor side finally got to her. "I am so p****d off," she quietly sobbed. And it was Alex who was really vexing her, after he'd elected to leave her on the poor side yet again: "I am so f****d off with Alex... He didn't even explain to me why he didn't take me to the rich side." But, as ever, the blonde's sad mood didn't last long.
Never one to readily participate in House bitching sessions, Kate was a source of steady support to beleaguered housemate, Sophie. The pair bonded on the poor side, with Sophie shielding Kate's modesty as she showered in the garden and Sophie later trying on Kate's jeans. "They look wicked on you," Kate told the brunette.

In fact, Kate was always one to rush to comfort her fellow housemates. She reassured Jonny on Day 35, after the fireman was shocked to be nominated for the second time in three weeks. "Don't give up," she soothed through the bars, telling Jonny he would be sadly missed if he were to be evicted.
The 22-year-old was plunged into despair on Day 38, after failing to answer the live task killer question correctly and get the divide lifted for good. "I'm just gutted, I feel like such a prat... I'm just so angry with myself," Kate told Jade.
But she did get some relief from her sorrows on Day 39, when Tim selected Kate to join him for a few hours of luxury on the rich side of the House. Kate scoffed her way through a slap-up meal, got drunk and later performed a jokey striptease in the poor bedroom, much to the delight of everyone else. In fact, Kate was always up for laugh and the Kent girl often showed her lighter side to great effect.
On Day 41, she donned Alex's spectacles and did her best geek impression. On Day 42 Alex interrupted her while she was dressed in his clothes and saying, "Hello, I'm Alex. I'm a model," much to their mutual embarrassment. Then she moved on to impersonating Lynne, pretending the first evictee was talking about the ever-loud Jade: "Thanks for being in my face the whole time and thanks for not letting me get a word in edgeways."
On Day 44, Kate and PJ pulled the short straws during the live task. Although the draw meant the pair got to see a video message from their families, it also meant they were up for eviction and both had an agonisingly long wait before finding out who would face eviction.
The chirpy blonde was obviously troubled by her nomination, staying up late each evening and confessing: "I'm a bit more nervous than I was last week." But Kate was a gracious competitor, gushing to Jade on Day 46 that PJ was a "top geezer". She even teamed up with PJ to practise their eviction and, after sliding down the banister in all the excitement, a pained Kate whispered: "Davina, I need a new punani!"
There was more fun to be had in the early hours of Day 47, when the housemates got roaring drunk and Kate soaked Jonny in a water fight. Emotions were later running high, after Alex confessed that he had thought Kate was a flirt and that Sandy and Jade had manipulated his view of the IT worker. A tearful Kate sobbed to Jonny in the lounge. The fireman leapt to her defence: "Sandy was a boring old arsehole, who had a big, massive, 10-foot cucumber up his f*****g arse... take no notice of what he said."
Jonny had more words of encouragement for the blonde gal from Kent on Day 50 though, as he frankly told her, "I fancied you like mad," causing Kate to blush.
The pair were soon up to their old pranks again on Day 61 as Kate downed punch with her best-buddy and playmate, before retching in the toilet. She recovered sufficiently the next day to successfully complete her part in the task - spinning six plates simultaneously.
So, heartbreaker Kate is the winner of Big Brother 3, taking her good looks, ready smile and exuberant humour with her into what should be a sunny future. One thing's for sure: the House was a brighter place thanks to her radiant presence...
