• 1854 - A spa opens in Vittel, France and becomes a destination for sportspeople due to the healing properties of the water
  
  
• 1882 - The first bottle of Vittel natural mineral water is produced
  
  
• 1903 - The French Ministry of Health officially recognises the health benefits of Vittel water
  
  
• 1998 - Vittel launches a UK first: the first 'squeezable' sports-cap bottle
  
  
• 1999 - Vittel becomes the official water supplier to the Flora London Marathon, a partnership which continues to this day
  
  
• 2003 - Vittel becomes the official water partner to Nike UK
