| This is actually the first movie I made. It was shot on video, my favourite movie medium, and lasted twenty eight minutes. I got it in one take as it was filmed off the television while another movie was playing. The movie was called Bad Ladies. I watch it still. | She is a little girl but she looks like a handsome young boy. This creates immediate in-head drama for the viewer which I think is very clever. Ladies who want to look like boys also propel my other favourite films, Yentl, Victor Victoria and G.I.Jane. Clever. | For a movie to work it needs to engage the audience on many levels. | The movies that established Denzel Washington as Hollywood's number one light hearted supernatural actor. Bob Hoskins is also better in these movies than he was in Taxi, which for me was too clever for it's own good. |
