The next day, Gemma takes G on a horse ride, Karen and Christine wine and dine Ed and Myles, and AJ and Lesley go canoeing. Ed refuses to give the women any clues about who broke the aqueduct, while Myles tells them, yet again, that he has no information. G and Gemma talk about Karen, and G admits that he has learned a lot since the experiment started. Myles and Ed, however, tell Christine and Karen that they don’t think G has changed. Ed shocks the two mistresses by telling Myles that he thinks he is false, which Myles denies. AJ tells Lesley that he knows nothing about the aqueduct, and it becomes clear that there are now huge divisions in the boys' group.
The women, having got no useful information out of the boys using good cop tactics, decide to separate them and interrogate them one by one. AJ, who is up first, refuses to admit that he knew anything. Myles is accused of planting the idea, and Ed goes against all his previous morals by telling the girls exactly who the culprits were and who knew about it. G also cracks and tells the mistresses that Mikey wrecked the aqueduct, and shows off more good behaviour by apologising to Karen. All this makes for what could well be the pivotal sacrifice…
