Steve Jones

Episode 1

The series begins! Steve Jones introduces the island and welcomes the women to their new home. The women quickly realise that one of the huts is bigger than the others, and Steve announces that they must choose a leader. As a result, Gemma is crowned Queen and has the ultimate power over events on the island.

Carolina
The men arrive, to an apparently deserted village. After some brief celebrations, the men are shocked when Steve tells them that for the duration of their time on the island they are the weaker sex, and must obey all orders given to them by the women, or risk being the one man sacrificed at the end of every week. At the end of their time on the island, the man whom the women choose to save will win £30,000. Used to being 'alpha males', the guys do not take the women's dominance well, and arguments break out almost immediately when the women order the men to clean up camp. G-Range in particular refuses to obey orders and is punished. Not only the men become resentful - Carolina is annoyed by the other women's bossy tactics and nagging, and sticks to a system of 'kindness rules'. A spat at breakfast leads to her storming off, and the women realise they need to regroup to keep their control.

Nick
Steve breaks the news that there will be a sacrifice – that evening. At this, Richard decides to lead a protest until the women answer his questions. It lasts for two minutes. Later that night, the women nominate the men they want to be sacrificed, and Gemma decides who, of these nominees, will leave. Before she can announce her decision, however, a shock announcement is made... the episode ends with a twist!
