Originally conceived as a way for Chris Carrabba, the bands singer/guitarist, to develop his acoustic musical talents away from his band Further Seems Forever, Dashboard Confessional, with Carrabba on guitar and singing, Johgn Lefler also playing guitar, Scott Schoenbeck on bass, and Mike Marsh as the drummer, have reached dizzying heights of success.
After selling 2.5 million albums and spending nearly two years recording, Dashboard Confessional is set to release “Dusk and Summer”, the bands first studio album since their 2003, million selling, “A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar”. Having chosen Don Gilmore (who has worked with the likes of Pearl Jam and Linkin’ Park) to produce the album, Dashboard Confessional have also enlisted the skills of U2 collaborator Daniel Lanois.

Dusk and Summer’s first single “Don’t Wait” is out on August 21st.
