Robyn Miriam Carlsson has spent most of her ten year career being remembered in small circles for her 1997 hit single 'Show Me Love', Robyn made a triumphant return to the pop world in 2007 with her 'With Every Heartbeat' single, a collaboration with fellow Swedish musician, Kleerup.
In the many years between international chart success, Robyn was initially touted in America as competition for Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera with the release of her 'Robyn Is Here' album. However, not the average pop-pushover, Robyn blocked plans to re-record second album 'My Truth' for American release which resulted in the album not seeing release outside of Europe – so whether getting involved in label affairs was a good move for Robyn is a little uncertain. It all worked out for her in the end, and that's what is surely important.
