Feeder
Feeder have been a big rock act since the 1990s and will get the beach bouncing to hits like 'Buck Rogers' and 'Come Back Around' this summer. They were formed in Newport South Wales way back in 1992 although it took them five years to get noticed by the music buying public with debut album 'Polythene.' The readers of Kerrang! magazine might have liked that album but it wasn't until 2001's Echo Park that they troubled the higher end of the charts.
Sadly it was this new found success that contributed to the suicide of their original drummer Jon Lee in 2002 and nearly caused the band to split. The band wrote the emotional 'Comfort In Sound' as a way of dealing with their loss (it was a hit as well) and recruited new drummer Mark Richardson from Skunk Anansie. On a roll of stadium tours and hit singles it was followed by 2005's 'Pushing the Senses' and new album 'Silent Cry' due in shops any day now.
All these albums have spawned an impressive 23 hit singles, three platinum sales awards, two gold awards, and one silver award, and approximately 1570 awards from Kerrang! magazine... so far.
