Our resident website's fashion expert Holly from fashion blog Never Love You More brings you weekly advice about how to recreate the look for this week's Frock Me. This time it's Gothic Horror...
Winter is here, black is the new, um, black and this is how you should be wearing it

LACE You can thank Givenchy and Meadham Kirkoff for the reintroduction of lace on to the high street. Don't even bother to shy away from this trend, black lace looks great when you wear it well, hell, white lace is good too, unless you're a mucky pup and will get half a chocolate bar down it by 11am.
H&M are selling some gothic style lace tights in a range of black, purple and white at the moment, plus, ASOS has a number of to die for lace dresses in at non -Givenchy prices. Don't team lace tights with a lace dress, especially if they are different colours. Also, don't forget that a dress with long lace sleeves is terribly forgiving on a less than slim arm and gets rid of the need for the shrug / cardy that you are bound to leave within ten minutes of going out. Bit scared of going over the top? Buy some lace from the market and tie in a bow in your hair.

FAUX FUR
As the nights draw in you might be tempted to reach for the tatty old scarf your nan knitted for you when you were seven. Can I suggest investing in a faux fur stole instead? Working in exactly the same way as nan's scarf, the stole brings instant elegance to any outfit. Try wearing fur over your winter coat to give it a whole new collar line, or, perhaps, you might want to check out one of Topshop's brand new faux fur and feather shrugs? Et voila, you will be channelling the statement goth look as seen on London's hippest girl band Ipso Facto.
LEATHER
Have you seen the influx of leather hitting the shops recently? Whether it is in legging, skirt of jacket form, the black leather look is here to stay well into next year. Leather is gothic, vampy and super sexy if you wear it well - ALWAYS buy the right size, leather trousers with visible muffin top is not so nice. Neither is a leather skirt that barely grazes your knickers.
Leather doesn't have to be slutty and this winter you should be as classy as possible when wearing it. Topshop are doing a fab leather skirt and some great leggings. If you don't have the funds to splash out on leather then fake it! Primark has a great imitation leather jacket in at the moment.
BOOTS Black Victoriana boots - you know the ones, lace up, with a heel - work so well with this trend. Recent fashion week punters have been seen in some of the most elaborate (and sky scraping heels) so I suggest you get on this trend toute suite! Givenchy have favoured the peeptoe black boot, while Tophop Unique has brought out a lace up shoe boot and even Marks & Spencer have some pretty fab PVC numbers.
This season you want the highest statement heels you can find and luckily for you, the high street is full of them. Just don't run for the bus in them and please, take some flatties for your walk home.
ACCESSORIES I know I'm talking about Givenchy A LOT this post but Roberto Tisci from the fashion house really has brought goth back into the mainstream alongside Mr Stefano Pilati for YSL. The accessory of all accessories when it comes to the gothic trend is Givenchy's multi layered cross necklace. The only problem is, it will set you back a small fortune and might give you whiplash. Luckily for us, Accessorize, River Island and Mango have all created similar ones.
If like me, you want to look totally original in yours, then pop down to your local market, for a paltry sum you will be able to snap up loads of silver chains for not much at all, of course, you should then pretend 'its Givenchy dahling'.
