Our resident website's fashion expert Holly from fashion blog Never Love You More brings you weekly advice about how to recreate the look for this week's Frock Me. This time it's Club Chic...
LAME
Unless you live in Outer Mongolia you could not have failed to notice the rise of a certain fabric in the nation's clubbing hot spots, its hot, clingy and you can't wash it...sounds perfect for a sweaty club, right? It's Lame and we all love it, get yours from American Apparel. Wear lame leggings with killer heels and a long dark top if you want to hide some muffin top.
Alternatively go all out and channel Leigh Bowery by wearing top to bottom lame, one of American Apparel's gold lame swimming costumes over a pair of skin tight leggings will certainly get you some attention. Worried that it's a bit disgusting because you can't wash your lame? Shove your leggings in the freezer to get rid of bacteria before wearing them next, just don't forget to warm them up before you put them on!

FLUORO
I blame nu-rave for this trend, its fun, its flippin' bright, that's right its fluoro. American Apparel has a lot to answer for, their range of fluoro hoodies, leggings and general separates means that you can dress this look up as much or as little as you want. Whether you are fluoro'd up from your visor to your shoe laces or just wearing a flash of colour to brighten up your outfit.
Now that nu-rave is not such a huge trend, less is definitely more, try some fluoro shoe laces in a dark plimsoll or go for one of cool designer David David's fluoro t-shirt designs, the geometric patterns look ace with a pair of black skinny jeans on boys and his playsuits are a sight to behold for the girls.

DIY
The best outfits are often the ones that you have put a bit of effort and foresight into, make like Alice Dellal and stud up your denim jackets, add lace trim to your American Apparel body con dress or copy our very own Henry Holland on his collection before last and create a huge bow for your hair out of a strip of fabric. This season the haberdasher is your best friend, go to places like John Lewis where you can pick up fantastic accessories from buttons to bows, studs to netting. Give one of your favourite skirts some volume by donning a net petticoat or make your own t-shirts and dresses from reclaimed fabrics. There is so much fun to be had when you go DIY, why wear something someone else might be wearing when you could model your very own creation?
CIRCUS
Up until the night closed last New Year's Eve, East London club Boombox was the place to be if you wanted to be seen on the scene. The club enforced a strict door policy to ensure that the punters looked their best. Celebs such as Roisin Murphy and Kylie Minogue frequented the night, which, in turn became something of a phenomenon. The playfulness and creativity of London clubwear returned, no longer was a pair of converse and skinny jeans acceptable.
One look that has filtered into the shops from this era is circuswear, I'm not mad, stay with me. Topshop recently released their Pierrot hat (a white clown hat with black pom poms), which sent the blogosphere mental. Worn with an American Apparel leotard and some super high shoe boots to top off the look. Not quite that adventurous? Topshop are also doing a great range of ring master style tuxedos, which you can wear with high black riding boots for instant glamour and edge. Accessories with a top/bowler hat if your feeling daring, they are all over the high street this autumn.
