Well good afternoon, this is Henry Holland for 'Frock Me', which is the new show that we're doing on T4, and it's amazing! It's all about fashion; it's all about music - it's all about fashion and music and why they are so intertwined and so closely linked. And I'm very excited about the whole thing because it's the first time I'm doing anything on TV! I'm really looking forward to working with Alexa.
So day one of the show was great. The filming was nice, great studio, had my own dressing room - very excited about that! Very excited about the guests too, it was really fun. The set looked amazing; it's like my bedroom in my dreams. It's full of weird and wonderful bits and monsters. It's all really bright and colourful.
The theme for show one was rock and roll jeans, which was classic rock and roll music and denim - which have always been very closely linked. And I'm always in my skinny jeans: the ultimate rock and roll accessory, I'm sure you'll agree. I have hundreds of pairs of them in every colour as well which is annoying because I only really wear my blue and black ones now, which means I have a wardrobe full of jeans I don't wear.
If I were to give you a denim tip: make sure you have an amazing pair of blue ones and an amazing pair of black ones and if you ever have those days when you get dressed and you just feel really crap and you're not really digging what's going on with your outfit put on your trusty jeans in either blue or black and pair them with anything else and then you'll pretty much feel a lot better about yourself, I can guarantee you.
Filming the Levi's launderette sketch was pretty embarrassing because for me it was one of the first things we filmed and so the first thing I filmed was a naked man who sat between me and Alexa trying to read a magazine and really we were actually quite enthralled with the magazines we were reading and weren't that interested in the poor naked bloke.
The guests on show one were really cool - including Daisy Lowe who's a friend of both mine and Alexa's so that was a kind of a nice ease in to the whole thing. It was quite a nice atmosphere on the set and then The Kooks, who I've never met before, were really good. I liked their stuff. I'm not very good with music but I do like The Kooks.
The actual collection that came out at the end of the show I thought was really pretty damn impressive. There were some pieces in there and I was like walking up to them and going, how have you made that, have you made that! Not even on camera actually, because I was so interested.
