Kamel Foster is twenty and has always wanted to be out in the spotlight so that she can showcase her vocal talents. She has been singing since she was at school, and says her main musical influences are Alicia Keys and Aaliyah. Training at college to be a vocal artist has taught Kamal to be versatile and to develop her style.


In five years time Kamel sees herself being famous and having a successful career working in the music industry performing around the world and selling out massive venues on major tours. So what makes her stand out from the rest? Kamel believes that she is natural in terms of her image and sound and this gives her a unique style. She describes her musical style as sweet, soulful RnB and would compare her vocal style to Alicia Keys.

Describing herself in five words Kamel says she is loving, bubbly, calm, emotional and hard-headed. Away from music she enjoys doing people's hair, dancing (she is into street dancing) and going to the gym. She wants to learn how to play the piano and acoustic guitar. While she is stateside Kamel will most miss her family, they have supported her and encouraged her to follow her dream and she will miss being around them. Kamel feels it is important to represent for Birmingham and put her city on the musical map.
