The Fixers

german

Alice Cargill - The German 'Fixer'

Alice is studying for her A-levels (German, Spanish and French) as well as juggling two part time jobs. She hopes to attend Essex Uni to continue studying her three favourite languages. Yes, Alice is a busy, studious girl. But all's not as it seems. Under the veneer of bookishness, Essex girl Alice has had her tongue pierced twice (with more piercing to come).

She also loves gigging and particularly getting down to The Wombats. So who knows what will happen when she joins the band's entourage? She says she's excited but she knows it's "no holiday…this is business!" But you can mix business with pleasure, right?

french

Eleanor (Ella) Baldwin - The French 'Fixer'

Confident, talkative, independent- you're going to know when Ella's about! She studied French at A Level, then went to Sheffield Hallam University to do Law with French. She admits her French "isn't amazing", but promises to communicate through the use of "mime and signs", if in doubt. We don't know what that means but we're looking forward to seeing it. Ella's dream is to move to Paris to work in fashion, so this is a test to see if she can make it in the capital of all things chi-chi. Will the language barrier prove too much? Will her over-enthusiastic Marcel Marceau impressions lead her to getting pelted with baguettes? Watch this space…

spanish

Ben Lind - The Spanish 'Fixer'

So you've left your loving mum (and a job at Somerfield) to find for yourself in a foreign country with only Sarah (The Wombats' tour manager) looking out for you. Scared? You might be, but Ben isn't. He's relying on his bubbly and outgoing nature to see him through. Ok, so he doesn't have great organizational skills but he's hoping his huge self belief and positive attitude will be enough. Smarty pants Ben has 10 GCSEs and 3 A Levels - in Performing Arts, French and Spanish. He's also in his first year of a Spanish and French degree at Northumbria University. Will Ben enjoy being the Spanish 'fixer' or will he let homesickness get the better of him?;
