If he isn’t photographed on the arm of some London trendy, Grimshaw is wrongly named as his mate Sadie Frost’s boyfriend. Yep, he’s certainly making a name in the red tops (even if it’s the wrong one).
Grimshaw doesn’t let a silly thing like celebrity faze him. Nah, he bowls straight in there, and asks the questions we all want to know (if we were all a little odd), whether it’s to Arcadia’s very own Pete Doherty or R&B mega star Amerie. The reason we have grown to actually like Grimshaw a bit is that he loves his music; if you live in London, chances are you’ve already spotted him at a gig. If not, keep your eyes peeled because you probably will, and if you do, go over and try and strike up a conversation whilst he’s concentrating on watching a band; we’re sure he’ll love that.
As well as talking and listening on television (sometimes at the same time), Grimshaw is also one half of DJ duo ‘Zapotecsoundsystem’ with fellow E4 Music presenter Zezi. Yes, when the cameras switch off we are still one great big musical family (like the Sound of Music sans the cool curtain smocks).
You might remember watching Sarah Jane's antics on the sun-drenched shores of Channel 4’s Shipwrecked back in 2001.
Before voluntarily stranding herself in a reality TV paradise, Sarah Jane was studying for a marketing degree at Uni, but after months on a desert island in front of the cameras, Sarah Jane wasn’t keen to resume her studies. Funny that.
She's interviewed some of pop’s biggest stars – including Nicole Scherzinger and Natasha Bedingfield.
So that’s a stint on a paradise island, and now she’s interviewing music’s finest. But Sarah Jane has one ambition left to fulfil: to write a number one single. So watch this space…
Zezi Ifore seems to have done it all before becoming an E4 Music presenter extraordinaire. After an eventful first year studying French and Italian at Oxford University - running for president of the Oxford Union, taking up rowing and discovering a penchant for pikelets among other things, she left to see what the big wide world had to offer her. Quite a lot actually, she's already managed to fit in styling the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Dizzee Rascal, editing cult fashion magazine Super Super, becoming an international DJ and starting a Myspace revolution without even realising it - all before her 23rd birthday.
And now here she is: appearing on an E4 tuned TV screen near you, interviewing artists, bigging up her favourite new acts and genuinely causing as much trouble as humanly possible.
To add to her ‘I’m dead cool me’ credentials, whilst partying, making songs up about biscuits and dancing to Cher, Zezi works in A&R for a massive music publisher. She’s also one half of DJ duo ‘Zapotecsoundsystem’ with our very own Nick Grimshaw. Expect them to pop up at wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs up and down the land; as well as the big hair and big mouths, they’ll be the ones getting on down to Mariah's Greatest Hits.
So what Zezi doesn't know about music probably isn't worth knowing (or maybe it is, just to annoy her). And that, plus her ridiculous obsession with Donatella Versace, gold and treggings (a trouser-legging hybrid) are why we think she's great
Although Rick Edwards longed to be a stuntman when he was a child, he is currently settling with being an ace presenter for E4 Music.
Aside from a love of music old and new, Rick is a regular newshound, having first cut his journalistic teeth on breakfast show 'RI:SE' where he was a newspaper reviewer.
Rick's first pet was a cat called Terry; we just thought we would add that so it makes us look like we're best mates.
