First broadcast in December 2005
Early in 2005, Channel 4 asked the public to nominate the buildings they want to see demolished. The top 12 nominations formed the basis of Demolition, a four-part series, which investigates how Britain came to be littered with eyesores and considers what we can do about it.
Presenter Kevin McCloud is joined by former president of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), George Ferguson, who’s not afraid to admit that architects make mistakes, and Janet Street-Porter, who tackles the planners and developers on behalf of the thousands of people who voted.
On this website you can get a closer look at Britain's worst buildings and delve into the debate about whether or not to demolish. And there's lots of good advice about how you can tackle bad buildings.
You can add your voice to the debate on the forum and there are loads sources of information in the Find out more section.
