GUIDELINES FOR WRITERS

  • Here's a short scene from playwright Charlotte Jones' play Humble Boy to illustrate the usual way that stage plays are set out.
  • Please print out your script on A4 paper - on one side of the paper only.
  • Please do not use a font smaller than 11 point.
  • The optimum length for a commercial West End play is 2-2½ hours [with an interval].
  • Most commercial plays have no more than 12 in the cast, because of cost.
