ABOUT YOUR PLAY

We need the following from you:
  1. a synopsis - about 200-300 words to tell us the story of your play. Here's an example synopsis.

  • some extracts from your scenes or play to look at your potential as a writer, including how well you can write dialogue. These should amount to about 15-20 pages, in play format.

  • a description of your characters - about 20 words for each of them, plus a list of how many people are going to be in your play, which are male and which female, and how old they are. Here's an example Dramatis Personae list.

  • one paragraph to tell us why you chose this idea.

  • That's it! Send it to us by email at theplay@channel4.com or by post to The Play's The Thing, BCM Box 3619, London. WC1N 3XX, once you have completed the About You section and read the Terms & Conditions.

**PLEASE NOTE: At this stage, full-length plays should not be submitted and will not be considered**
