Blaired Vision

Channel 4 Tues 26 June 11.05pm
Tony and George
As Tony Blair walks out through the door of Number 10 for the last time as Prime Minister, Blaired Vision sneaks straight back through the keyhole to offer a wickedly subversive take on the most controversial and pivotal events of Labour's decade in power.

Acclaimed artist and film-maker Alison Jackson's film goes back to revisit the heady days of Cool Britannia.

Then it fast-forwards across the ensuing decade to imagine what really happened away from the camera's prying eye at the heart of power and in the heat of momentous world events and domestic scandals, from 9/11 and Iraq to Blair's relationships with Gordon Brown, his embattled love-lorn ministers Blunkett and Prescott and, of course, his wife.

Director Alison Jackson's hallmark style of satirical false reality is married with commentary from key political players and opinion-formers.
