It's all about having YOUR SAY on anything to do with British TV.
ThinkTV is THE place where you can criticise, praise, admire, complain about or comment on TV any TV from the BBC to BSkyB. If you love or hate something on TV and you want the people who make TV and the decisions that shape it to hear what you have to say, then ThinkTV is for you. That's programmes, adverts, scheduling, news, sponsors
whatever and you can quiz the people behind the camera: the executives and programme-makers.

How is ThinkTV different from any other forum?
|
ThinkTV is about all TV rather than a particular programme or series. It is a platform where anyone can comment on any aspect of television and have it published on the site for other people to watch, read and respond to.
But ThinkTV goes one step further. Following the comments featured on the site, ThinkTV will invite programme-makers and TV executives to respond on the site.
However, we cannot guarantee that all of your comments and criticisms posted on the site will receive a response, or that all comments and views published will automatically receive a response from a relevant programme-maker or broadcasting executive. Channel 4 reserves the right to determine what it does and does not publish on the ThinkTV website.

Why is my webcam or email comment not up on ThinkTV?
|
It could be that we are still in the process of putting your comment up on the site so keep an eye out for it. But if it's not up it could be for a number of reasons including but not limited to:
- We can't use the file format you sent it in.
- Your comment had technical problems like we couldn't hear what you said!
- We were unable to use your comment for legal or regulatory reasons.
- We never received it in the first place!
Check Have Your Say for details on making your comment to ThinkTV. We may contact you if there are problems with your comment. Otherwise try again we simply may not have received it!

Will someone from TV respond to my comments?
|
One of the aims of ThinkTV is to invite programme-makers and TV executives to reply to any criticisms and comments about their programmes and decisions on the site; to make them accountable. This could be as a video interview, a written response or even a live webchat. Anyone who visits ThinkTV will also be able to respond to any comments featured by email or video by completing and agreeing to our release form.
However, we cannot guarantee that all of your comments and criticisms posted on the site will receive any response; nor can we guarantee that all comments and views published will automatically receive a response from a relevant programme-maker or broadcasting executive.
Additionally, you may find your comment has already been addressed in our FAQ section.
|
|
Why hasn't anyone responded?
|
They may be in the process of doing so or have simply declined to respond!! If they are responding we will post their response up on ThinkTV as soon as we can so keep an eye out for it. If they have declined to respond, we will say so.

|
Are there any forums where I can discuss my views?
|
ThinkTV is really a large forum where you can have your say on anything to do with TV in the UK. To make your comment, check out Have Your Say. However, there is no discussion forum on ThinkTV. We will link to any relevant forums where appropriate. If you do want to participate in a dedicated discussion forum then check out Channel 4's Talk which lists all of Channel 4's forums and webchats.

Why are you piloting in Liverpool?
|
Channel 4 has specially chosen Liverpool as we traditionally have had a good relationship with the city. The 6 learning centres have been chosen for this pilot because they have been very successful, are equipped with webcam technology and trained staff to help and have the capacity to cope with the demand to use the webcams. They are also free to use.
