I recently quit my job, so I've been lucky enough to
be able to catch the superb Drew Carey Show at it's rediculously
early slot of 5:30pm. Unfortunately, none of my friends get to see
it! Why is such a great comedy shown at such an odd time? This really
is prime-time material, and could easily sit alongside other great
US comedies like Friends.

Response from Channel 4.
This show first played in ITV & didn't work hence they moved it to
a graveyard slot. Channel 4 picked up the show as part of a deal with
a distributor and as such it plays on E4 but attracts a small audience.
At the moment there are no plans to change the slots.
