For many men big has always meant beautiful. Most simply take
pleasure from an amply curved woman, and a host of specialist
clubs and internet sites cater to the tastes of Fat Admirers.
But a bizarre sub-culture is taking things to dangerous extremes.
So-called Feeders are accused of behaviour that crosses the
boundary from consent to abuse. These men aren't satisfied with
a merely big partner, but encourage and even coerce them to
gain weight to the point where the women become immobile and
risk their lives. Fat Girls and Feeders features interviews
with men and women for whom feeding has become an obsession.

Oh my god. Another form of abuse. This man on tonights show
must have some form of munchausen's. I watch these men profess
love for their wives in an abusive way and I for one can only
scream at the screen. I too have loved my husband thru thick
AND thin. But never have I kept him ANY way for my own gratification.
Large girls must be the people they are without these predators
pimping them for all the other predators out there. Large girls
are as free as the rest of us to go about our lives without
these people taking advantage. Leave these girls alone unless
you have genuine honest feelings towards them. Keep them healthy
in love as well as health. These men are as bad as the men that
only look for the thin girls and then abuse them too. We are
all worthy of another look, you never know what you may find,
as many people I know have done so.

I am so upset by the feature that i have just seen. I have fluctuated
from a size 12 - 16 for the past 33 years. It was not until
I mey my husband I wanted to lose weight for myself and be happy.
We had a daughter 2.5 years ago and I am carrying weight I am
unhapy with. My husband has never mentioned it or commented
and is as affectionate as he as always been. I actually feel
guilty being a size 16. Seeing your programme hit home it was
not about the women who were willing to go to such extremes
but in fact about the insecurities of the husbands who obviously
wanted their wifes to become so un attractive and independant
that they would not want any one else. Surely this is not only
mental cruelty but a clear danger on the health of the person.
I would happily challenge anyone who could offer a substantial
explanation to why they would hinder the health of their loved
one. I feel really angry about this after being divorced from
a very controlling marriage back in 1992. If there is anything
I can do to offer help to these unfortunate victims of controlling
husband then I will be happy to help. As a result of my experiences
I have been a Police Officer for the past 8 years.
