Thank you for Greg Dyke's brilliant documentary "Betrayed
By New Labour". It was wonderful to hear his side of
the story in the sorry business of the run up to the Iraq
War. I hope it made Tony Blair and Alistair Campbell squirm!

What a fantastic piece of television. Mr Dyke opened himself
up to us all and I can only say it was a pleasure. To be kicked
in the teeth by something you had supported cant be easy
to swallow, but on this scale its a wonder Mr Dyke managed to
stay sane let alone sober.

Glad to see that Greg Dyke finally got a chance to have his
say. Sadly I wasn't surprised by anything he said in the program.
All the important questions that were unanswered at the time
of the war are still unanswered. But no amount of reports or
evidence (or lack of it) can make mud stick to Teflon Tony -
his capacity to publicly state fallacious nonsense that small
children could see through is undiminished. The only thing he
will listen to is the ballot box. Long live the BBC and the
ability to preserve its' right to continue to discover and present
the facts, however uncomfortable that may be for those in power.

Trust in the government is without doubt at an all-time low.
It was fascinating to actually see Dyke talk, relatively informally,
with other folk in influentual positions about how the events
surrounding his resignation were dealt with by the government.
Sadly, none of it comes as a surprise, but it does seem to flag
up Channel 4 as one of the few places where frank comment can
be aired.

Excellent, incisive and no doubt only a fraction of what could
have been exposed. Any errors or omissions the BBC and Greg
Dyke et al may have made at the time (what price hindsight in
advance) pale into insignificance against this government's
attitudes and actions, and not just in relation to the Iraq
affair. MORE!

Good programme, slightly affected by the newest leaked revelations,
and badly affected by the lack of an available tripod for the
cameraman. Nothing is achieved by giving a seasick picture of
a man talking.

Fantastic program - about time we heard some facts about decisions
and inside politics over the war presented in a concise, clear
and informative way.
