On Location

John Dryden, Radio Drama director, recorded this recent production, The Appeal, on location. Based on a script by Matthew Solon, the drama re-enacts an asylum appeal case.

In this web film, John Dryden talks about how he recreated the situation for radio, working with non-actors from the Somali community. It was recorded at City and Islington College, in North London. The drama is due for transmission on BBC Radio 4, Friday 21 July 2006.
