Making Radio Drama
The best way to get a real sense of how a radio drama is made is to get yourself down to a recording and trail the whole proceedings … but that’s easier said than done as most radio drama directors are just far too busy to have people trailing after them on the tight schedules of a recording .. but here at The Play’s the Thing we’ve gotten an inside view.

We'll be following the progress of two radio productions - The Appeal, a location-based drama, and an adaptation of Wilkie Collins' Basil, recorded in a studio - and offering exclusive insights to the production process by the two directors, who will share their approaches to these two very different broadcasts.
