With this first foray in to radio drama for Channel 4, we were keen to create a sound that was different to what we usually hear on air. The intention was to create a filmic soundscape with lots of perspectives. John Dryden was our man as he’s about ‘making movies for the wireless’. The crew had worked on other of his productions on location and in post production.
The production manager, Tamsin Barber, had been directed to the project through two avenues. She’d worked on earlier Goldhawk Productions and she’d been recommended to Maud through Clare McGinn, Head of BBC Radio Bristol.
Mark Harris is new to radio though forging his career in film as a runner.
