Are you aged 14–19? If so, you'll be interested in Self Portrait UK 14–19, a new national campaign which invites young people to send us their self-portraits with a chance of having them exhibited online and at major galleries, museums and on public exhibition sites across the UK.

The project kicks off on Channel 4 on 27 May at 10.20am with a half hour programme featuring self-portraits by well-known writers, artists and TV personalities, including poet Benjamin Zephaniah, principal ballerina Darcey Bussell, DJ Trevor Nelson, musician Evelyn Glennie, TV presenter Lisa Rogers, comedian Shazia Mirza and Newcastle United first team player and England Under 21's International, Steven Taylor.


Self Portrait UK is a national campaign celebrating the identity, individuality and diversity of people across the UK.

A national touring exhibition featuring up to 100 self-portraits by people of all ages from across the UK - videos, digital images, paintings, drawings, written texts and animation - selected from thousands of submissions to the 2002/03 national Self Portrait UK campaign has just completed it's hugely successful UK tour with an exhibition at the Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast. Details of any future exhibition dates for the Self Portrait UK (2002/2003) national touring exhibition will be posted here when available.
