Do I need any experience in documentary filmmaking to enter?
Not at all. We're looking for good examples of your indentity, that's all. And if you are shortlisted, then we'll share our filmmaking and screenwriting experience with you.

Can I work with my mates and enter Raw Cuts as a team?
Yes. But we need just one name from you on the entry form, so you must decide who is going to be the main applicant.
Can I enter more than once?
Yes. You will need to use one form per entry and can enter as many times as you like… but don't lose your focus! It's better to send one really good, well-thought out entry than twenty half-baked ones.
If my entry is shortlisted, will I have to pay to attend the workshops in London?
No. The workshops are free and travel and accommodation will be provided for you and an accompanying adult, as well as an allowance for meals.
If my entry is made into a film, will I be involved in the filmmaking process?
As much as possible. You'll work directly with the Director/Producer team, you'll get to see what goes on during a shoot, working alongside industry professionals and learning from their experience.
If my film is made, will it be on TV?
We cannot guarantee the films will be screened on TV since programmes cannot be commissioned before the stories have even been written! But all films will be produced to broadcast standard and we can promise that your story will be read and assessed by Channel 4's commissioning editors. If it's good enough to grab their attention, there's a chance it could be screened.
Will this make me rich and famous?
Probably not. But if it does, can we have your autograph please?
