THE FIGHT TO HELP KIDS READ

One in five children leaves primary school unable to read properly.

Lost For Words is a Channel 4 season of campaigning programmes to get all our kids reading.

We believe:

  • All children in mainstream schools are capable of learning to read.

  • All children should be taught to read in school, for an hour every day, until they are able to read properly.

  • Everyone who cares about our children's education needs to ask: what more can I do?

If you want to support the Lost for Words campaign, please raise this issue with your child's teacher, your local councillor and your MP.

Find out who your MP and local councillor is and how to contact them.
