In anticipation of the Artworks Award winners being announced on Children's Art Day, Channel 4 is showcasing four of the exceptional entrants this year.

All the entries show the growing artistic awareness of the pupils involved – they have clearly stretched their imaginations to produce these unique works of art – you can click on the relevant school to see what they have achieved for yourself.

The gallery featuring the winners goes live on the Artworks website on 1 July 2004 and features a full commentary and images of all of this year's 32 award-winning entries.
