Build a website about multiculturalism for free!

Origination:Insite Schools Competition - the results

As part of the Origination:Insite project we ran a schools website building competition in 2005.

The websites entered in the competition were as vibrant and diverse as the subject matter; some students ditched their regular school dinners for sushi and others turned detective to uncover the stories behind this seasons must have ethnic jewellery. Over 7,000 young people took part in the competition, making it the most successful Channel 4 Learning project of its type.

The top prize went to the Cultural Diversity website, which was created by pupils at Brockworth Enterprise School, they won £2000 worth of Channel 4 resources for their school as well as an all expenses paid trip to the T4 studios. The school then went on to be awarded the intermediate rather than foundation level international education award from the British Council

INSITE Schools is part of the bigger INSITE project commissioned by Culture Online and made by Channel 4 in collaboration with Moonfruit and Zyweb (who are providing the site building tools), and our museum partners Wolverhampton Art Gallery, At-Bristol, Bradford's NMPFT and the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms, part of the Imperial War Museum.
