Daisy Chute is in the Sixth Form at The Purcell School studying voice, piano and composition in addition to her A level courses.

Although new to composing, Daisy was a Burnsong Songwriting Competition winner in 2005 and this summer was a Highly Commended finalist in the BBC/Guardian Young Composer Competition.

Last year she produced her debut cd, Simply Jazz, following a successful run at a jazz cabaret show during The Edinburgh Fringe. She was thrilled when Humphrey Lyttelton played a track on his Best of Jazz show on BBC Radio 2 making her the youngest vocalist to ever appear on the show.

A veteran performer, Daisy started to tread the boards as a Young Cosette in Les Miserables and was featured in Stars in their Eyes Kids as the Young Judy Garland. This year she has appeared in a variety of venues: a gala performance at Cliveden, Pizza Express in Soho and The Wigmore Hall where she gave a short recital of Alec Wilder songs.

Daisy has now been signed to Universal Jazz and Classics as part of a four girl classical crossover group ALL ANGELS. Their debut album is released in November this year.

In How Music Works, Daisy performs the Shaker song 'Tis A Gift To Be Simple with Anastacia Nosobin on guitar.
