Welsh writers

There's a Welsh-ish flavour to Hay – it's a border town after all, sitting on the fence between England and Wales. But there's a good smattering of Welsh writers and Welsh prizes among the events. And in certain corners you can hear people talking knowledgeably (and very fast) about cyfarwyddyd (poetic sagas), Welsh horror movies and performance art in the Merthyr Tydfil vernacular.

Don't know your Emyrs from your Emlyns? We can help you find your way around.
