Although Jimmy's profile is more as a television personality he started out and continues to be a very talented stand-up comedian. Jimmy's first live show – Bare Faced Ambition &ndashl gained him a Perrier Nomination in 2002. National sell-out tours quickly followed with Charm Offensive in 2003 and Public Display of Affection in 2004.
Jimmy continues his tour of Off The Telly, which kicked off with a sold-out run at the 2005 Edinburgh Festival and 2 sell-out nights at the Hammersmith Apollo in December.

Jimmy is now preparing for his next live stand-up show, Gag Reflex, to kick off at the 2006 Edinburgh Festival and tour after that in national theatres.
Jimmy's first DVD has now sold over 150,000 copies and his second stand-up DVD has overtaken this already.
Jimmy will soon be seen on the big screen, having completed three films: Confetti, Alien Autopsy and Storm Breaker, all due for release in 2006. He can be heard on London 104.9 XFM every Sunday morning where he presents the breakfast show from 10:00am to midday. He is also a regular guest and interviewer on Loose Ends (Radio 4) and The Fred McCauley Show (BBC Radio Scotland).
As would be expected of a comedian with a soaring international profile, Jimmy also performs at the 2 key comedy festivals: he returns to the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival for the third time, in July 2006, and in Aspen at the International Comedy Arts Festival.
