Travelling to Arafat
Travelling to Arafat
The Hajj came to a dramatic climax today when more than two million pilgrims trekked to Arafat, southeast of Mina to stand in the open and beseech Allah for forgiveness.

At sunset they once again set off into the Saudi desert this time to Muzdalifah to collect the pebbles needed for the Stoning of the Jamarat the next day.

Experience this momentous day of the Hajj through our slideshow, panorama, audio and video and stories.

Day of Standing
The Hajj climaxed today in the Day of Standing in Arafat. Pilgrims arrived by noon prayers to stand in the open until sunset praying to Allah.
