Head shaving
Mecca once again experienced traffic gridlock
The Hajj is officially over. The Saudi authorities have officially announced it the "best Hajj ever" and the clean up has begun. On the streets of Mecca, people throng around the markets and shops to buy souvenirs for family and friends or tokens to remind themselves of their spiritual journey.

The mass exodus has already begun and once again the Hajj Terminal in Jeddah is full of pilgrims, minus the ihram dress, but this time they are leaving.

Some will continue their spiritual journey by visiting the Prophet's Mosque at Medina but for most it is time to go.

Find out how the pilgrims are feeling and see how Mecca looked after the Hajj with our slideshow, feature and video.
